CDs made include Brahms Clarinet sonatas and chamber music by living British composers. In 1999 he was invited to take part in the Jardins Musicaux summer festival in Switzerland, and he has returned every year since, giving chamber and solo recitals.
Jonathan now divides his time between his freelance playing and his post as Principal Pianist with the Birmingham Royal Ballet, with whom he has performed all over the world, including China, Japan and south-east Asia, and the USA. He has played as guest solo pianist with the Royal Ballet, performing Shostakovich 2nd concerto and Rachmaninov’s Rhapsody on a theme by Paganini at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden. His other concerto repertoire includes Shostakovich 1, Ravel G major, Franck Symphonic Variations, Rachmaninov 2, Beethoven 1 and 5, Bartok 2 and 3, Mozart 17, 20, 23 and 24. Brahms 2. And Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue and F major concerto.
