Mentor (PGC) – strings
Jessica is a professional violinist who effectively communicates her passion for music education. Combining teaching, performing, examining, seminar and online presenting, adjudicating and editing, she has a persuasive portfolio career at the highest level. Coming from a family of innovative string teachers who were the first to start the Suzuki method in Europe, Jessica demonstrated her commitment to teaching at eighteen when she gained her Diploma following a two year, full time, string teaching course.
Her commitment to an inclusive approach for all abilities and her dedication to inspiring creativity in all players are prominent, along with actively encouraging pupils to perform and play with others from the early stages of learning and onwards. Her teaching has led her into examining and presenting for ABRSM, ESTA and the BBC ‘Masterclass’ series for their Virtual Orchestra.
Jessica has extended her teaching style to adjudicating at Festivals and school’s competitions where her rigorous approach and engaging manner have been highly regarded. She is currently compiling a violin study book for Faber following on from her successful ‘Best of Violin’ series for Grades 1-5.
